Mr. Adrian Paul Raj
Project & Technical Manager, Turner & Townsend LLC
(Turner & Townsend is the UK’s largest privately-owned partnership Project Management Consultants, delivering to many of the largest conglomerates in the world, e.g. SHELL, Google, Microsoft, GE, Intel, Changi Airport, Iron Mountain, etc.)
Three factors influenced my decision to study EBM with Warwick & Chulalongkorn University. Firstly, the program offered a flexible schedule for working professionals by scheduling classes during weekends. This allowed me to pursue the programme with little interruption to my career. Secondly, the program offered two degrees from globally recognised universities in which the qualification (EBM) catered for engineers like myself with limited management training who intend to climb the corporate ladder. Thirdly, the programme is truly affordable, costing less than half the total cost of a equivalent qualification in the UK without the requirement for overseas travel.
The program covered current and upcoming global trends such as Blockchain technology, topics including social sustainability and strategy planning that are highly relevant in today’s industry. These tools are shared through case studies which helps in guiding us on the practical aspects of each models taught. I was able to incorporate my newfound knowledge into my work, helping me stay ahead of my peers. The management see these positive changes which helps in career progress. Also, many tools are helpful in strategy formulation and execution which are vital in charting organisational targets and key to success.
An important plus point of the program is the ability to complete modules in different centres globally (Singapore, HK, China, UK, India, Turkey, and Cyprus) allowing for peer-interaction with different nationalities and cultures. Also, the Warwick faculty present high-quality modules, along with special local and international guest speaker presentations at every module.
